The SIEP-IALE, founded in 1989, was one of the first chapters of the IALE. The association connects scientists and practitioners in the field of landscape ecology, promoting the joint development of the discipline in Italy.
In her talk titled Conserving biodiversity-rich and multifunctional agricultural landscapes in Europe: the contribution of Agri-Environment Measures, Stephanie presented her work on modeling Agro-Environment Measures (AEM) using various predictors, including geospatial data on farming systems and land uses, across five agricultural regions in Europe. Her research provides insights into how to improve the uptake and effectiveness of future AEM for the preservation of multifunctional and biodiversity-friendly agricultural landscapes.
