Marco's research interests include wildlife ecology, biodiversity monitoring (mainly using camera traps) and conservation biology, with a focus on ecological modelling. During his time in Bonn, Marco gave a guest lecture within the framework of the course Spatial ecology and conservation biology run by our research group. His presentation, titled "Systematic camera-trapping to study the responses of multiple species of mammals to different anthropogenic pressures", explored how camera trap sampling designs can be tailored to a particular research question. As our group prepares to set up a camera trapping campaign in agricultural land (you can read more about our aims here), Marco is supporting us in developing a robust study design. We look forward to continuing this collaboration and to meeting again soon!
