The winner of the “Best paper award” 2018 of the German Botanical Society (DBG) for the best plant science related publication from a PhD thesis is our colleague Dr. Jutta Baldauf. She will receive this prize for her publication “Single Parent Expression is a general mechanism driving extensive complementation of non-syntenic genes in maize hybrids” published in Current Biology (2018) 28: 431-437.

For the first time, a PhD student from an Agricultural Faculty will receive this award of the German Botanical Society, which is endowed with 1000 €.
