Both Verena Müller and Annika Kortz received a Master degree in Crop science. Verena Müller analysed for her master thesis mutants which are affected in root system architecture and worked on the functional characterisation of the lateral rootless 1 (lrt1) gene. Annika Kortz analyzed the transcriptome of pericycle cells of the lateral root defective mutant rum1 for her master thesis. Yan Naing Win who recently defended his master thesis in “the development of a sequence-indexed collection of Mutator-tagged maize mutants and its application in root developmental biology” in our lab received a Masters degree in Agricultural Science and Resource Management in the Tropics and Sub-tropics (ARTS) from the University of Bonn.
