A student help for 4 month (8h a week) for the
coming summer semester (2024) for supporting
the virtual pythopathological garden

Photo- binocular and microscope-documentation of plant diseases in the
phytopathological garden (Auf dem Hügel 6), helping in research for references to
complete the virtual phytopathological garden of INRES.

Interested students will get an introduction to the project and he methods that will
be used. You should be interested in fieldwork and crop protection. Youshould have a
basic knowledge about crops, pathogens and plant diseases.

The working group plant pathology of Professor Dr. Djamei is looking for
the time period of 6 month from now (17.3.2025) for:

  • a student helper for 6 month (9 hours a week) for the
    study program „MadFungi“.

You will clone under supervision of a PhD student by the Golden Gate technique
CrispR/Cas9 constructs and learn to purify gRNA-loaded Cas9 proteins from E. coli for
transfection into the important plant pathogenic fungus Magnaporthe oryzae.

Interested parties first receive an introduction to the project and he methods that
will be used in the laboratory.

The ideal candidate should have worked in the field of molecular biology and being
familiar with protein purification and like working with plants but most importantly
being reliable and highly motivated!
